Super woke article here by a fellow millennial that gives a well deserved and positive review of Anne with an E! (Unlike the negatives criticisms from 80s fans that can't let go!) I'm also an English major so I feel I have better insight into what makes a high quality literary adaptation.
My only criticism is that Ramya didn't address Gilbert's male toxicity or how the Megan Follows version was a bigoted white male fantasy adaptation. Other than that love this article from my "sister from another mister!" Read it here:
